Hoe can I modify a http://looxcie.com/ 2 to have direct recording and copying over wifi. I'm thinking about a cable with power to a belt battery pack, so it lasts for 16 hours.
Arduino is not capable of handling video streams so I wonder what the Arduino part in this is / should be?
I have an android phone if that helps.
I just need some general advice on how to make it and you guys are the best resource I have at my disposal. I'd do it with an Arduino if that was possible.

don't know the quality of such apps as I didn't play with them yet,
Furthermore I dont't know the resolution of your phonecam versus the resolution of looxcie...

Can you explain more about the goal of your project? You want to make some sort of IPWebcam out of the looxie?
No the end goal is a little bit more ambitious than that. I want to sync the video and audio to my home server and then use Microsoft Speech to Text on the audio feed.
Then I can automatically add tags and create a digital memory bank where tags are linked to video footage.
I already have the speech to text part working. All I need now is an automated way in which the video can be transferred from the Lookxie 2 to the server.
Then I train the computer to respond to certain phrases, like "computer dictate". Or, "computer reminder october 10th, 2 pm, birthday someone unimportant". And then it reminds me on my phone.
