LORA wake on radio?

Hi,

Does LORA (not LoraWAN) have wake on radio feature, where the radio periodically wakes up to look for valid reception and notifies the host micro?

Thanks and Regards,
WonderfulIOT

Your question makes no sense.
How would the radio know when to wake up to see if there was valid reception, unless data is being transmitted all the time.
Can you clarify what you mean?

I am not aware of Lora device which has wake-up functionality when a packet is received
I would use an RTC to wake up devices which then communicate with a Gateway in a LoraWAN network or a central coordinator in a Lora peer-to-peer network

Why do you think so?
See "Figure 24. Sequencer State Machine" in Find Product Documentation. Problem is, that its available for FSK/OOK modes only. Not Lora.

Wake On Radio is a feature called by other names too like Low duty Cycle Mode. Below are the documents from TI and Silicon Labs respectively for their implementations

TI http://www.ti.com/lit/an/swra126b/swra126b.pdf
Silicon Labs https://www.silabs.com/documents/public/application-notes/AN585.pdf

also interesting artical

A LoRa device, in LoRa mode, does not have a wake on radio function.

This unit actually has this wake on radio. I.e. it can be set up to listen for for example 32 ms then sleep for two Seconds. This way it uses wery litle power and it works. I have tried it.

Thats not a wake on radio feature though.

If a signal appears in the 2 second sleep period the radio will not wake up, it can't as its asleep.
