I'm working on 2 projects, one with a UNO and one with a Pro Mini. I've been able to go back and forth a couple of times with the exception that the UNO comes up as COM 3 and the Mini as COM 4. I am using the same USB port on my computer for both. I mounted the Mini into a shield but when I plugged the FTDI cable in to the mini I get no lights, I think I screwed something up in the wiring.
I plugged the UNO back in, the lights do come on, I reselected that I have a UNO board, but now the Port menu stays gray, it doesn't show any port available. I've tried unplugging it a couple of times and compiling the sketch, not really sure if either of those would help but talking to it hasn't helped either.
I'm pretty sure I have a wiring problem with the mini but not sure why I can't get the UNO back online.
I looked at some of the past post but none seem to be the same situation.
Any thoughts?
