So I have an Arduino Uno with the Grbl shield to run my CNC router from Inventables. I downloaded the drivers successfully and got everything running. I have been running just fine for 3 weeks without any issues. I use Universal G code Sender to send G code to the Arduino/ Grbl and I have also used easel by Inventables to send code as well. recently I was in the middle of a project that was running fine and all of the sudden he CNC router stopped and UGS said that it lost connection, cannot connect to port. So I then try to see if I could connect to easel thinking maybe its UGS but I could not connect to that either, so my first thought was that it was my arduino, but to make sure I grabbed another computer with windows 7 and it was the same thing. I then grabbed a computer that I had just wiped out and restored back to "out of the box" factory, running Windows Vista and I was able to connect to that. I have not tried UGS yet because Like I said I just wiped it out and I dont have any updates or SP uplaoded to it yet so I am not able to get Java on that computer.....yet. But does anyone know why its just with Windows 7? Is there an update for the ports or some sort of setting that needs to be changed that is just on Windows 7?
