Lots of section header posts need fixing

There are many more also where some stickies etc. used to be but now look like that.

The short form HOW TO USE THE FORUM or similar would be more use than the current offering.
Some sections had more specific how to's which were also cut loose for unknown reasons.

A good deal of time was spent making and placing those "stock new forum" contents with suitable replacements.
When most of the stickie's were cut loose why were they not replaced with something better ?

An example here was more geared to the online editor.

Welcome to the ONLINE EDITOR.pdf (649.2 KB)

There were more specific ones also for the MKR and NANO sections etc.

I will not be updating them as it seems like a waste of time if they are to be allowed to sink into obscurity.
However they can still provide a good basis for anyone else wishing to do so.

@PerryBebbington ?

Hi Bob,
The first 3 I looked at are like that, not looked at all of them.

@pert,
Bob is right, the standard Discourse headers are there, do you have any plans to replace them with something more meaningful? Were you aware of this?

Thanks,
Perry

Definitely. I think it is very important to clearly communicate the purpose of each category.

I have to fit this work into my limited spare time so I ask for your patience.

Yes. It has been that way ever since the forum migration in 2021. Discourse automatically generates this pinned topic for every category, with that default content.

Which I never noticed and I'm guessing hardly anyone else did either. While I agree there should be something useful there, if no one notices then it's not a big deal.

No it was not always that way.
Had taken care of pretty much every section until something cut all the stickie's loose.
There was even a conversation about it.

That was not the point.
There WAS useful info at the TOP of the sections.

In many cases it was a link to your readme's !
No idea how many problems it may have fixed or tempers it might have calmed ?
