Just make a fire

What the message in the picture says is very true.
But is that low-cost?
I have several light emitting resistors. They are more commonly called filament lamps.
That is an auto desoldering resistor (ADR)!
I once had an auto desoldering transistor (ADT)... BC 547 type...
I once got a SED(Smoke emitting diode).
Sadly it only worked once.
Now I am wondering if a LDR can change in to a LER.
Maybe if I exceed the Wattage limit………
Guess what this stands for: FBT
Hint it's a cooler variant of a previous listed component.
Note that I think the other variant is better.
What I meant was colder.
Must have been a SUSED...
Sorry but I have no idea what that is
……
Something something smoke emitting diode?
Nope sorry it’s not that. ![]()
Want another hint?
A product does not always get better if it has a longer abbreviation...
SU === Single Use
I have several Single Use components. They're usually called fuses. Sometimes they're Sound Emitting Fuses...POP!
Do you give up on guessing? ![]()
I was taught if you can’t find the fault then “ tune for maximum smoke”. This will then highlight where the fault lies.

Not the same. Run yours outside of a vacuum.
I used to have an (now considered dangerous) old-fashion electric heater, which not only emitted heat, but also some red light from it's element, a resistor, which wasn't in a vacuum. My toaster also emits some light from it's elements when run, no vacuum needed.
I'm sure you didn't use them for lighting though. ![]()
