Low profile push button

Can someone recommend a nice panel mounted push-buttons that have very low "backend" profile (i.e. mechanical part underneath is very short)? I have very little space between panel and inside components, and regular buttons I have just don't fit :frowning:

That depends on what you are looking for exactly.
If you want a real button that clicks and/or holds position, i cant tell you the best option.
But if you just want to register someone touching a certain area, you could consider a capacitive touch button.
Those are quite flat, but will not click or make you feel like you just clicked a button.
It will require some extra hardware and some extra money over a regular switch.

Real button will do  i.e. momentary switch
I don't have any specific requirements other than for it to be as little protruding on the bottom as possible..

The below tactile switch is small and flat.
