mac book pro 2016 usbc -> usb incorrect port configuration

Hello,

I try to send my first program to my Arduino Uno using a mac book pro 2016 (Mac Os Mojave 10.14.6).

There's no USB port on this machine, so I'm using USBC-USB transformer.

I got an error when trying to upload any program to my Arduino. (Example / Blink for example):

Problem uploading to board.  See http://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Troubleshooting#upload for suggestions

I tried on every port from the following list:

  • dev/cu.Bluetooth-Incoming-Port
  • dev/cu.MALS
  • dev/cu.SOC

According to the documentation it should be dev/tty.usbmodem but for some reason I don't know, there is not such a port.

Can anybody help me or had some issues with this Mac + Arduino? Or anybody have a solution?
Thanks,

Adrien

Sorry, I was not pushing the USB plug correctly. My bad, everything is fine now.

Thanks for taking the time to post an update with your solution fredianiadrien! I’m glad to hear you got it working.
