MacBook Aluminium and Arduino

Hi,

I played a bit with a DCF77 receiver and I was unable to get it run based on a Library out there.

The problem was traced down to "if the macbook is touched it gets some kind of signal". Plugging it into a plastic computer makes it work instantly and the DCF77 gets the correct time after one run.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I am using an Arduino UNO

Is there a question here somewhere?

Maybe a the case is grounded and this is making the ground connection on the arduino noisy...

Yes the problem should exist because of some kind of this reason.

There is no Question in the initial post.

Its more a note. Who knows if someone else runs into a similar problem.

There is no Question in the initial post.

I noticed :stuck_out_tongue:

Additional Info:

Using an USB cable with an ferrite bead fixes the problem on the aluminium Macbook.
