It should be possible. The car uses lots of amperes. You have to find a good motor board for that. Another way would be to replace the remote control joysticks with Arduino stuff. You would control the remote control with your phone and the remote control would send the original signals to the car. So the Arduino and the HC-05 bluetooth module would be inside the remote control, not inside the RC car.
