Hi All,
As from the title, I'm interest to know what is your opinion about it.
Once you have finished with your prototype on breadboard and you are ready to make your own PCB.
Do you prefer to make a whole standalone Arduino Nano (just the chip Atmega32u4) on it or it's more worth it and cheap to buy it from Ebay as the price to make it will be the "same"?
How much of the electronics on the Arduino are you using?
How many boards do you want to make?
Would your application profit from a newer Nano board in the future?
I bought a Kickstarter product a long time ago which used a Teensy board. I love the fact that I can remove the original Teensy and put my own Teensy in for experimentation and put the original back in to get it into original working condition again.
On the other side if you want to make something very small or large volumes it is better to create a full custom PCB and remove all unnecessary components.
