Hello everyone!
This is my first post,so be gently! I have developed a bluetooth software and now i need to make a bluetooth tag(wearable). I have landed here (arduino.cc) after hours and hours of searching on bluetooth modules and chips, etc.
So my main question is can i just power up arduinoBT and start using it?
When it will be powered, can i search for devices for my PC and found the arduino module?(no need for connections or other stuff, just to be discovered).
Also since the product will be wearable(hang it from your shirt,or at your keychain) can i use Nokia phones batteries?(3.7V,they are light and rechargeable,so nice!)
Also, which are the dimensions of the ArduinoBT?Cant find it anywhere!
I hope you can help me,i am searching for help for about a week!
regards,
Thiodor
Is my question so stupid or hard to reply???
I think it's on the difficult end.
Yes you should be able to do this however it is going to be rather chunky to hang round your neck. Also battery consumption is going to be a problem.
Grumpy_Mike is right, Bluetooth will probably be on the difficult end of the spectrum. If you haven't already invested a lot of money in Bluetooth, you might consider RFID– the readers are cheap (~$50), and the tags don't require any power. Parallax sells a reader which comes with several free tags (http://www.parallax.com/Store/Accessories/Communication/tabid/161/ProductID/519/List/1/Default.aspx?SortField=ProductName,ProductName).

Hope this helps.
ok,thank you all!One last which is not answered, the physical dimensions of the board(so i can 'see' how big is).
Physical dimensions are the same as the Arduino it just slots over the top so you stack is about 2cm thicker.
