Hi there,
I have, what I believe to be, an interesting idea and need some help both in whether it is plausible and if so, where to get started.
I've been "into" video editing for some time now and using a mouse to control things such as the jog wheel and the shuttle in Premiere pro is difficult, so why not make a small and simple control surface using an arduino?
I know it is possible to use shop bought control surfaces with Premiere pro, but I don't know the ins and outs of it.
I also know I can use midi signals from the arduino then convert them into keystrokes that correspond with keyboard shortcuts (my current setup with a nanoKontrol 2) however for analog elements such as the shuttle and the jog wheel, using digital key presses is less than satisfactory.
(I'd prefer to use them as you do when using the mouse... Just a little less hassle)
If there's anyone out there with any useful knowledge, I'd thoroughly appriciate your advice!
Thanks for your time,
~Vinyl
