Making a home assistant

Hi, i want to a home asistant like amazon echo or google home. It seems to me not very hard.
When i programmed this correctly and used right voice recognition, what kind problems can occurs?
What do you think, is it hard, what do you suggest?

It seems to me not very hard.

. . . if you've got Google's or Amazon's research resources.

I mean i will use google speech service api for voice recognition. Do you say about this?

Sure, why not? Go for it. Tell us how you got on.

Delta_G:
Sure. Google and Amazon only put a few hundred million dollars into it and the teams working on it are relatively small, just a few thousand people working round the clock. Doesn't sound like that would be too hard for an amateur with an Arduino.

I do think you'll need a MUCH bigger and faster processor than any Arduino can provide though. Google and Amazon run their speech recognition over the internet to their big servers in California. The house boxes don't actually do any of that themselves. So you'll have to create that infrastructure too, or find an API that allows you to use what Google and Amazon have already done.

yes, you are right, but i didnt say these words for voice recognition. I will use Google Speech Api, my box just will do commands. I think i will do with raspberry pi and python codes. In this process, how problems will wait me?

Delta_G:
If you're going to use a RPi and python then you have obviously posted on the wrong forum. This forum is for Arduino questions.

why you are so offensive, i just wait suggestions because of your experiences.

I saw nothing offensive - why are you being so objectionable?

No, I missed that - can you point it out please?

You're welcome.
