Hi, for a lab I need to create a power source out of a iPad or iPhone charger. I already cut the usb wire and got it to work but I was wondering if I could solder the red and black cables to two MM jumper wire to make it easier to use in a bread board. If yes, how? And if no, what can I do to make them stay attached to the MM jumper wires? Thank you in advance
What is the power spec of the charger?
"what can I do to make them stay attached to the MM jumper wires? "... ummm solder?
iPod chargers are 10w, iPhone 5w.
Use a usb breakout board, buy your choice of connector. These are 2 for $1 on eBay. Solder some pins onto the power pins (vbus and gnd) and plug it into the breadboard.
