Making timer/ stopwatch using Arduino

Need help with my arduino project.
Using a Ardunio mega 2560 the project requires
-Using 4 seperate buttons, 7 segment array
-1. a count- down timer starting from 1min(60sec)
-2.min/sec setting, start ability: the min button makes the first 2 parts of 7segment part increase from 0 to 99, the sec button makes the last 2 parts increase from 0 to 59, the start button makes the set time count down to 0
-3.pause/ reset ability: pause button is the same button to the start button, the rest button stops the timer and resets to 0 no matter what
I am very new to arduino and need dire help with this project's codes. :sob: :sob:

Well, we can't help you. We have no idea which pins the start/stop/pause/reset switches are connected to, and/or how they are wired.

We have no idea which pins the 7 segment array is connected to (or how many digits there are in the array).

Break the project into manageable pieces. Learn to read the switch pins. Learn to display a value on the 7 segment array. Learn to change the value every second.

In no time at all, you'll be done.
