I am looking for a Manual Rotational Stage. It does not need to be run by a servo and the precision is not super important. I have seen a few like these https://www.thorlabs.com/navigation.cfm?guide_id=3
....But they are kind of pricey
-Any other ideas on how to have something mounted on a "manual lockable rotational stage"
that is more affordable?
What are you able to make? The ones you linked to all seem to be plastic. Can you print them? Can you add manual locking to something you might buy? And finally, what does Arduino have to do with a manual stage?
Thanks for the reply!
Arduino does not specifically have anything to do with my question...but I want to drive other things in my project with an Arduino and thought it might be a common issue in this forum. I have been a member about 10 minutes by now For my topic: Plastic is fine, if it is durable. I am looking for one solution that is all in one...but if there isn't anything out there i'll figure out a way to lock it. However i need some degree scale on the rotational unit.
If they do what you want, the problem is solved. Thorlabs makes precision products for scientific and engineering labs. Those stages are worth what they are asking for them.
What did servo city show you that could be used? You do understand that you will likely have to actually build something that meets your requirements, don't you?
Listen, I was just asking for help and advice if someone had run into a similar problem. Of course I will construct it myself if it's not on the shelf. Still in early prototype. No need for that kind of comments
The comment was because nearly all people coming to the forum want something they can purchase and get upset when no one can show the exact thing that meets their needs. You are one of the welcome exceptions.
