I want to create a program that maps out a piece of paper and can point at any location on the paper that I mark. My only issue is do I use map or array? Im thinking it map but I am still not sure.
Your question just makes no sens. What are you trying to do? How do you mark? How does the Arduino know? How do you point?
I think that you may be misunderstanding what the map() function does.
It sounds like you want to be able to represent the status, maybe black or white, of points in a plane. The map() function does not do that, but you could hold such data in an array although you will need to carefully consider the memory implications of doing so.
