I´m new in this site and with Arduino. I´m going to make fuel pump controller with Arduino and I need Map-sensor to measure intake manifold pressure(max 3bar). Can you folks tell me is this sensor OK and does it work with Arduino?
It can read from 2 psi to 100 and something, so the pressure range would seem to be OK.
It is a PC mounting device with 5V supply. Doesn't seem really suitable for automotive use.
That sensor would be fine for your application. However, the automotive electrical system is an extremely harsh environment for consumer electronics and you will need good voltage regulation, filtering, spike and surge protection to keep both the Arduino and the pressure sensor from being destroyed.
Google "automotive surge protection" or similar for more information, or search this forum for related discussions.
Thanks for answers. Will try this sensor.
