Marlin 2.0 error message "The filename or extension is too long."

Arduino: 1.8.13 (Windows Store 1.8.42.0) (Windows 10), Board: "Arduino Mega or Mega 2560, ATmega2560 (Mega 2560)"

Hi,

I need help I've got a Creality CR 10 S5 and I keep having the following error message.

fork/exec C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\ArduinoLLC.ArduinoIDE_1.8.42.0_x86__mdqgnx93n4wtt\hardware\tools\avr/bin/avr-gcc.exe: The filename or extension is too long.

Error compiling for board Arduino Mega or Mega 2560.

My printer has been out of commission for three months now and I need to get working again.

P.S I'm quite annoyed because the first time I've downloaded the software everything worked except it wouldn't read the SD card error message "No Media" so I unintalled the software and reinstalled both marlin and arduino and now I keep having that filename too long error.

I hope this can get fixed soon and thanks ahead for all who are willing to help.

That error message can also happen when folders are nested to deep or have extra long names and are still nested but not as deeply.

If it is the folders then either delete some top layer ones or move out the lower layers

My stuff for my hobbies only (f)
....My other stuff to do with just 3d printers (f)
...Just to do with my Creality CR 10 S5 (f)
...Put the IDE here for Arduino (f)
...Firmware stuff in here for safe keeping (f)

etc. etc. you get the idea.

We cannot see the folder structure and that may not be the only cause.

I've had the exact same problem with my CR-10S for 4 months or so now, and I feel like I've looked everywhere for a solution. I am very desperate for a solution, hope somebody can help.
