I'm having trouble installing the newest marlin version. It keeps returning errors no matter what I change.
The board that my 3D printer has says in the corner Anet v1.0.
I used to upload sketches before using the Anet motherboard, but now somehow it won't recognize the board or accept it. It wants me to use Sanguino.
I downloaded several marlin version and they all give the same or different errors.
For example, these two files apparently support my board. Still, I'm getting errors no matter which version I try.
This error is given from these configuration.adv.h
"suggested alternative: 'HOMING_BUMP_MM" and several more.
They have a folder with a lot of boards and Anet is the one I have.
I used those files. Now the error I'm seeing after making some adjustments with the tools -> boards
I keeps returning for a lot of #if
"missing binary operator before token "("
Maybe there would be more information on the RepRap Forum that is dedicated to 3D printing.
Marlin is a very complex program so it is unlikely that anyone here is familiar with its internals. This Forum is generally for helping people write there own programs.
Have you been able to re-load the version of Marlin (or whatever) that was originally installed on your Anet board.
What Atmega microprocessor is on your Anet board?
What Anet 3D printer do you have and how old is it?
I have an Anet A2 printer and I have adopted a firm principle of "if it works don't fix it"
There are many CLONE ANET's which may use different configurations of Marlin.
Often MARLIN has to be tailored to suit the specific set up.
There is no "one fits all" approach so you often have to check ALL the settings that pertain to YOUR system.
That can be a minefield for new users and I would recommend marlin specific forums for additional help.
