Matching a string pattern from a stream of chars

Topic says what I'm trying to do

I'm using WiFly to pull this response as a string of chars.

HTTP/1.0 200 OK
Date: Sat, 18 May 2013 02:30:30 GMT
Server: WSGIServer/0.1 Python/2.7.4
Vary: Cookie
Content-Type: p

*STRT*12:1,4:1,11:1,*CLOS*

What I'm having trouble doing is figuring out how to match the STRT so that I can begin parsing the number series that follows.

STRT comes through as a series of chars

may come to me in a moment of insight tomorrow but feeling stuck on this one right now

any ideas?

The below might be of use. Also you might start capturing data when the * is encountered the second time.

thank you, looks like a perfect fit
