Hi
My name is Mattis, from France. I like making projects. I also practice French boxing and I am first responder.
I am going to present you Maug, a handheld game console that we have designed for about 2 years.
I say "we" because at the moment we are two guys on this project: Augustin, who programs the main game, and me (I design the circuit, the case and capacitive panel, and also program the low-level functions).
The aim is to recreate the "low distance multiplayer": on the most of game, it’s becoming to play in local together, it’s needed to have two home consoles.
With our project, we offer various play mode:
- local multiplayer, you can play with your friend if he is next to you
- global multiplayer: wherever he is, share a happy moment
- you also can play with strangers: you are in the subway, no internet connection, nothing to do? The Maug console will automatically detect all the other Maug in a radius of 150m.
We design a console fitting very well in a pocket: light (100g); thin (7mm, like an iPhone 6); smooth (no external buttons, it’s a glass with tactile switches); good power autonomy…
Games can be installed or updated by wifi.
Maug will not only communicate with other Maug console, but I voluntarily leave a bit of suspens…

We will participate at the Paris Maker Faire in November!
Thanks for reading, I apology for my poor English level…
