Electronics does not work like that, you can not say it will go a specific distance and 1cm more it will not work.
That module uses a high speed SPI interface so ten feet is a long way to make it stretch. A lot depends on the wire used and your environment, electrically speaking. If it will not work over that distance then you can use buffers to work over most distances.
