I am making a battery operated RF device to send data from one device to another. To regulate the on/off condition of the device, I am using MAX16150 nanoPower Pushbutton On/Off Controller and Battery Freshness Seal. I have read the datasheet about the behaviour of the MAX16150 but certainly I am not able to find out my Answer. My question is "what will happen if the push button is left pressed or stuck ? Will the OUT pin keep on asserting and deasserting repeatedly ? and what if after the initial press to high the OUT pin, the button gets stuck and the clr pin is used to deassert the OUT pin but the button is still stuck ?
I think that the state change only occurs on a valid press/release cycle, preventing unintended toggling due to a stuck button.
Kindly help me out.
