Hello!
Can I use the MAX4427 chip like a motor driver?
Not really, the on-resistances of 4 ohms per switch is too high. Integrated DMOS motor driver chips have
on-resistances in the 0.2 to 0.5 ohm range per switch, and they get hot from 1A upwards. The MAX4427 would
get hot from 0.25A up. For higher than 1 to 2A discrete MOSFET bridges will fare best (discrete MOSFETs use
vertical current flow and go to 0.002 ohms or less).
[ incidentally MIC4422 MOSFET drivers have 0.6 ohm on-resistance, rather more plausible and available both
thru-hole and SMT ]
Ok. Thank you for your answer!
