The connectors are not on the board now? They need to be soldered on or you will have never ending connection problems.
Are there male pins on one end and female headers on the other?
Pololu - 0.100" (2.54 mm) Female Header: 1x5-Pin, Right-Angle
Pololu - 0.100" (2.54 mm) Breakaway Male Header: 1×40-Pin, Right Angle
There only male pins on one side of the panel, the other side is empty but there is holes for new pins that i can solder.
I think i will try to solder them together.
