measurement distance of 20 meters

Hi every body...

I'm looking for a way to measure a distance in a range from 0 to 20 meters... there are differents modules : IR, ultrasonic, laser etc...

Have you got ideas?

for that type of distance check LIDAR-Lite (up to 40m, ~2.5cm precision)

Ultrasound seems possible, too.

Note that you can't go to zero. There's a minimum distance.
