Measuring Altitude and Deploying Parachute

Hi all,

thanks for the discussion.

I'm just running short of time and just really needed a hand on where to go from here. The term 'hopefully' is literally all I have going for me at this point.

Unfortunately, the prototype drone that I'd be willing to use is a commercial DJI Phantom 3S so there's no way I can alter the ways which the propellers face.

As for the parachute design, currently it's just a hexagon with bricklayer's line connecting from each diagonal hole. I've tied a weight to the bottom of the parachute with a vortex hole at the top to release trapped air when falling. Size is approximately 90cm (35inches) in diameter.

Any further advice would be appreciated.
