The proper search term would be “Standard 10Pin to 6Pin Adapter Board For ATMEL AVRISP USBASP STK500”. That got me 30 hits.
what i actually meant was just the JP3 cable - 6-pins to 6-pins.
although i do think my "ICSP cable" is reliable enough, i don't just use six random jumper cables, i have a 4-pin Dupont housing for the D10-13 (at the programmer board end) with long square pin male headers stuck in it so that it plugs in one go on the UNO programmer, and then i have a 3-pin housing (along with a 3-pin male header) for the "Breaduino" end ("SPI-trio") + dedicated solo cable for the Reset pin. The 5V and GND is also a dedicated 2-pin ribbon jumper cable.
Thanks for the tips on what to look out for on eBay for USBasp programmers.
