Mechanical arm joint simulation

Hi,
I was looking for a online tool that can help me simulate an arm motion by connecting lines and joints.
Not too complicated, something that a middle school kid can use.

2 years back I had used such a tool but I can no longer find it.

If you happen to know about any such tool, would appreciate your help.

Thanks

What has this question got to do with an Arduino?

...R

The project we are working on is to build a Robotic arm using Arduino.
So this is a Mechanics question for an Arduino project.

Do questions have to be related only to the electronics aspects of Arduino?
When people use Arduino, they build things ranging from Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Robotics and what not.

So I guess when I see a sub forum for Motors, Mechanics, and Power, I was expecting to get some advice on "Robotics arm simulation" from others on this forum.

Let me know if I am wrong.

That was not obvious from your Original Post.

And, out of genuine curiosity, what role will the simulation software play in the development process?

Hello

I am just beginning but love Arduino. To answer you question:

Has built in examples

Simple and free and wonderful

Have fun

Is that your own creation - looks interesting.

Is there a Linux version ?

The blog says that at least one person has run it using Wine (on linux).

Your blogspot looks nice, greatjob

Hello All

The linkage program is another Dave. I ran across his page and really liked his program for analyzing mechanisms and linkages. When I read about someone wanting to further understand their goal, i wanted everyone to know about this great tool

I also know the author would be happy to get feed back on his program and would probably make changes or additions as people ask for improvements.
