mechanical tutorials?

I have found many great tutorials, videos, readings and other resources on almost every aspect working with arduinos. However, I am still looking for good introductory overviews to actually using motors in projects. There are many tutorials on circuitry and programming of motors, but I'm specifically looking for a resources related to robustly connecting motors to projects, physically moving things with motors or using mechanical advantage. Any suggestions for resources that could be used to introduce these concepts to students would be great.

I frequently used a book by Dodge Gear called Power Transmission. I think it might serve your purpose.

I don't suppose there's a SI unit edition.... 8)

Find a maths or physics lecture course covering mechanics? That's the basis of everything
you need.

Mechanical movements from the past (some might be suspect).
