i have mega 2560 and ramp 1.6 . The information shows that stepper motors in ramp 1.6 can be powered by a power supply from 12v to 36v. I have 2 power supplies, 12V 5A and 24v 4.2A. Which will be more efficient to power 4 stepper motors 0.6A 6.7Ohm 24v.

This suggests 24V. As the motors are already working with 0.6Ax6.7R=4V the only difference will be higher speed possible at higher voltage.
Whichever supply voltage don't forget to set the coil current limits on the stepper drivers.
I have DRV8825 drivers. I find formula Vref=Imax/2 *90% in my case Vref=0.6/2 . So I set 0,28 on the driver . That You think? I wonder what if I turn on 2 steppers to the Z-axis (there are 2 places for motors). Then there will be 2 motors on one controller. Should I leave 0.28 or take x2?
