I accidentally short circuited an arduino mega: + with gnd
the result: I still see it available in the ports list, but code would not upload. Any idea how to save it?
Is the SOIC-8 package near the power jack getting hot? Sometimes that's the weakest link, and it fails near-shorted, so it drags down the supply.
Otherwise, that's what ebay is for
I dont think nothing is getting hot...
I know that I can buy another one, but this is not really the point. I would like to know if it is possible to save it. It has to do a lot with conscious consume and enviromental concern.
What's the 5V line measuring when connected to the PC?
