Mega 2560 (With Genuine Mega16U2 chip) is not recognized by macOS Mojave

I have a Genuine Arduino Mega 2560 and for some odd reason I cant get my Mac to recognize the connection. I tried downloading drivers, switched ports, and even hit the reset button and number of times and I still cant get a confirmation. My China Uno knock offs are good to go but my real Arduino Mega gets no love. How can I fix this problem?

Make sure the USB cable is fully plugged into the Mega and the computer.

Try using a different USB cable. Yours might be damaged, defective, or charge-only. If the same cable works with the Unos, you know it's good.
