When I connect my Arduino Mega to the laptop, The Mega16U2 heats up as soon as connected and the board is not recognized by the laptop. But it worked fine when I brought it. Please help me with this issue?
The only reason they heat up is you done something to damage it. Do you have anything connected to the board? If so, disconnected everything then plug it in.
I connected it to the laptop alone without connections. Does that mean it got damaged?
How do I correct the problem?. Please anyone help.
If you know how to solder you can replace the chip. Or try to contact Arduino.cc and see if they will replace it.
