Mehrere Joysticks mit einem Board

Hallo, ich bin leider ziemlicher Anfänger und habe ein spezielles Problem.
Ich habe einen Leonardo pro micro für eine Button Box zum Gaming gebaut mit mehreren Schalter, Rotary Encodern, Potis,...
Funktioniert auch alles wider Erwarten ohne Probleme.
Allerdings habe ich meine Schalter in einer 6x6 Matrix angeordnet, jetzt kann WIndows aber nur 32 Schalter pro Joystick verwenden wenn ich das richtig sehe. Ich würde aber gern alle 36 haben.
Ich habe irgendwo gelesen, dass der Arduino auch zwei Joystick simulieren kann, über den ich dann die restlichen Schalter einbinden könnte. Könnt ihr mir da helfen?

zweite Frage, ich lese überall dass zu den Schaltern Dioden gehören, ich hab keine, funktioniert aber alles erstmal wie es soll.

ich glaube hier wird das Thema schon angesprochen, leider komme ich nicht ganz mit worüber hier geredet wird...

Also die geschichte mit GamePads ist doch die letzten Tage gerade mehrfach durchgelaufen.
