One day, I didn't have my wire stripper so I had this wonderful idea of melting the plastic with my soldering iron. Guess what? most solder tip repair pastes I have seen are simply high powered flux mixed in with a little bit of particle solder (maybe mixed in with some petrolatum jelly)
