Member lcd.init not found error

My fault I used google to find the error code, I didn't know what lcd screen i have it came fre in a kit with no model number and the board from ebay is easy to find vcc wrote onit and datasheet states 5 v that's all i said, the OP had same issues but with different hardware this is how i know it wasn't a h/w issue but a s/w issue!

Great, now you go edit your post #18 to change the h/w you are using.
(from your first post in the thread it seemed clear you were using a PCF8574 backpack with a hd44780 display)
It has changed from: OSOYOO Mega2560 + 3.2" TFT LCD Display + LCD Shield Expansion Board
to: 1Pcs Iic I2c Serial Interface Board Module Lcd1602 Address Changeable New Ic X

You are truly all over the map.
When dealing with things at this level, details and accuracy REALLY matter.
It often requires reading detailed information, paying close attention to minute details.

I think at this point, I'll bow out from answering any future questions.

it should allow real actual quick editing i have to wait 5 mins to correct mistakes, i made mistake as its 2 am in the am, wow! as i said it is a s/w issue not a h/w issue i only posted for help not a lecture i didnt mean to make mistakes but that's how you know im human! if quick editing was properly set up the mistake wouldn't of even been an issue! as i said waiting 5 mins is a lifetime i have things todo you know!

I make mistakes on youtube aswell at least there i can edit it within seconds and no ham is done!

it should allow real actual quick editing

Have patience. At some point you will indeed be able to edit without waiting. Unfortunately how that point is defined is a mystery (at least to me).

Don

I wont hold my breathe its been this way for years my friend.

post #18 is beyond a simple mistake. It is lack of attention details.
Originally in that post (before you edited it), you instructed me to look at product that consisted of a mega 2560 and a graphic LCD.
This is a far cry from your actual environment. You did not even spend a moment to look at what you were typing.
If you continue to proceed with this type of lack of attention, I'm predicting you will be in for a long struggle with your Arduino adventures.

One last comment.
For the record, you have both h/w and s/w issues.
Like I have said several times, you must do some special things when properly interfacing 3v and 5v components.
You must also be careful when using 3v power on Arduino boards as often the 3v regulators have very limited output capability.
So far it appears that you are choosing to ignore these issues and to not educate yourself on how to handle these types of things.

I copy and pasted the wrong line as it was like 2 am get over it it was an oversight i have already said it was a mistake!

And very grateful for the delay we mods are.
I think the most single-hit spamming I had to clean up was something like eighteen posts, with about 15 to 20 seconds between posts. (This was before we were given the nuclear option of simply deleting the spammer's account, along with all their posts).

The five minute delay stays.

That's fine i get that 100%, but editing posts and creating new posts or even replies to posts is a totally separate issue, meet me half way here!

Try reading back what you've written, before hitting "post".
It's a very useful life skill.

Its called quick edit for a reason! that's what its there for!
