I am making this bot which can move right and left, and I was hoping that I could mesure the width of certain object in distance using an Ultrasonic and Arduini Uno if you have anyideas please help.

It's probably possible to come up with some sort of measurement for the length of an object if the object weren't very far away. How well something like this would work depends a lot on the details of the project.
How will the robot know how far it has travelled? Will it have encoders?
