Does anyone know how to use and calibrate the MH-100X HB100 10.525GHz Doppler Effect Microwave Motion Sensor for bird detection only?
I can tell you there is no way the sensor can tell if an object is a bird or not.
How about calibrating the size, speed and behavior of a bird? will it still work?
The sensor cannot measure size or behaviour. Maybe it can measure speed using Doppler effect, I don't know. But if a bird is not flying directly towards or away from the sensor, it will not measure the speed correctly.
EDIT: You forgot to include a link to the sensor you are asking about. I was curious and Google searched for it. It does use Doppler defect. I'm not sure if it can measure speed of an object, only the presence of an object that is moving towards or away from the sensor. I don't think it can measure the distance or speed of the object from the sensor.
