Read the chip sig first unless you want to keep in suspense.
Hello
To everyone who has not been able to get this device to work with Arduino Ide. If you follow Oritek's user manual, you will be able to upload sketches. The fact that you cannot see a com port or that Arduino Ide does not find the com port has nothing to say. When you have selected MH-ET LIVE Tiny88 in the boards manager, you will be able to press the upload button in Arduino Ide without selecting a com port first. When the Arduino Ide
has finished verifying the sketch, the Digispark Uploader will automatically appear and ask you to connect the device. This without a visible com port.
Take a look at my last post in this discussion
hello you, and welcome here...
but why so late ??
I'm ashamed to admit how stupid I am... I was really angry and put the soc in the recycling bin!
But if any cries of victory come my way following your post, I'll try again !!
Anyway, many thanks.
The MIT link I gave shows programming through the ICSP pins without any bootloader taking up limited flash. No bootloader means ICSP is needed to reprogram the chip.
AVR LibC (Arduino runs on) online doc lists covered chips including ATtiny's.
I looked at the board and it's a Tiny88 surface mount, the ID may need to be added to the list. When I started with IDE 0023 the cheaper 328P-PU ID wasn't on the list so I edited the 328PA number to the PU number and the flash ran.
Nick goes through chip-ID and his code. The tools are free and members who swim in that might show up.
