MICODE RFID Receiver Module with Arduino

Hi guys!

Its my first time here but this matter is of urgency! Would really appreciate it if someone can shed some light on the issue.

My Project currently involves using the RFID receiver module with Arduino. We basically are not sure of what we are doing at all since this is our first interaction with RFID receiver of any sorts. We need to use a receiver module that has no in built antenna (so that we can try to increase range) hence we got this: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/rfid-modules/7154075/.

The datasheet (http://docs-asia.electrocomponents.com/webdocs/0e92/0900766b80e9297f.pdf) is for the module. We are not sure how we are supposed to connect the module on the breadboard and to the arduino as well as the codes for simple reading. We were told that we might need a RS232 arduino shield, but is that true?

Really appreciate any guidance!! (Also, if this is posted under the wrong thread pls let me know)
