What kind of arduino do you want to use, and do you actually want it to recognize spoken commands, or does it only need to trigger on sounds of a certain volume and duration?
Btw, there is also a French forum that you may want to use if English is problematic.

It's an Arduino Uno, and in fact I would like the microphone to pick up sounds and be able to transmit them to a speaker

Ok, well, bad news; the Uno isn't really suitable for audio processing. Its built-in adc's are low resolution and it has no hardware dac. You might be able to make some noise that resembles the input, but it will be very low quality. I'd recommend picking a different kind of Arduino board with a processor that's suited to this task.

Ok, thank you for your help.
