micro vs leonardo

hello,
I been using arduino micro for a while

I saw on aliexpress they had leonardo, are they the same, whats the difference?
is leonardo still supported ?

thanks

Micro and Leo are based on the same chip, code and binary compatible.

The only difference is that the leonardo is a bigger, Uno-shaped board that can accept shields, while the micro is a smaller and less expensive board. Since the main advantage of leo is using with shields, it's more appropriate for someone who has less experience with Arduino (those who are more experienced typically don't use the shields - while they're easy to connect, they are also less flexible and often significantly more expensive than the same devices in non-shield form)

ok thank
