microFL wifi antenna socket on yun

Here's an interesting thread about adding an external antenna to the wifi microFL socket on the top right of the board:

Has anyone actually done it? Is the socket actually connected to the wifi chip?

Note the comment in the thread you posted about durability. I doubt this is physically robust enough to use for a removable antenna.

I agree 100%. one way we could use external USB wireless adapter connect with antenna, by disable internal wifi.
