Microphone and Detect Frequencies

Hello everybody,

I am a real noob with arduino and tried some things but since nothing works I really hope for someone to help me here.

My plan is to detect frequencies with a microphone.
I use this one:

For an amp I have this:

And for instructions I used this:

As you can see, I use a different microphone because I do not need a high quality recording and because it has to fit into my construction.

When I tried to put it together the plotter in arduino was only showing 'noise', whatever frequencies or sounds were made near the microphone, there was no reaction.

I am thankful for any kind of advice. Thank you.

That instructable is not entirely awful but I wouldn't have done it that way. Two 9V batteries? That will be a hassle. An opamp capable of rail-to-rail operation will work on 0V and 5V if you do the level conversion on the input side. (The opamp you have isn't rail-to-rail.)

How are you powering the microphone?

I had an extra power supply for testing.

I also asked a friend for help an he just gave me this:
