By chance have any of you heard of this

Would a tcip ( LAN ) be a likely command interface? I'm looking to start building out my home
Network and compatibility going forward would be desirable ... It would seem that tcip would offer
The highest compatibility. Ie arduino with Ethernet shied ...
Is that "no, I've never heard of it", or "no, tcip would not be a likely command interface" ?
Capitalization sure is important! That did not say what I thought it said.
The only thing beyond the core offerings that MS has successfully brought to market is the Xbox. I wouldn't hold your breath.
Despite that, if you make allowances for your environmental controls to be connected via Ethernet, you'll be doing yourself a huge favor. At the very least, it makes for some fun hacking potential.
Is that "no, I've never heard of it", or "no, tcip would not be a likely command interface" ?
Sorry, not intended to be so short (there was a non maskable interrupt here :).
Never heard of MIcrosoft HomeOS, that said microsoft has worked on many project that didn't make it commercial (as most large comapanies do).
TCIP = tcp/ip (?) is a perfect carrier for sending commands from A to B. The whole internet is based upon commands over tcp/ip so why wouldn't it work for Arduino?
The question is, is tcp/ip the right carrier for the project at hand. If it is, use it, if not, don't. ...
