Hi - I am new to the Arduino world, and more than anything I'm looking for some pointers where to turn for info. I would like to build a hand held (on a shoulder strap) midi drum kit. Using piezo triggers and an arduino board to translate the piezo signals into midi data that can then be sent via a single cable to a programmable midi drum machine that will then turn it into sound.
What do you think about using the arduino board for this application?
Has anyone done anything similar that I can learn from?
Thanks for the help, I'm particularly interested in Tom Scarff's web site, thanks for that link. It looks like his version of the board will work well for what I want to do, I'll contact him when I get a chance.
I'm kinda surprised that there arn't more similar projects out there. Maybe there are and I just havnt found them yet.
Thanks for your help here . I have bought the kit from Tom Scarff mentioned by Grumpy_Mike abouve. I'm in the process of putting it together now. Quite a learning curve to scale here. but I'm having fun with it .
