Midi input to MKR 1010

I have a really hard time getting my Arduino MKR 1010 Wifi work with MIDI. Right now I'm trying to output MIDI from my Windows through loopMIDI and Hairless MIDI through the USB to my Arduino. Hairless MIDI gets the MIDI and seems to send it to the Arduino, which seems to be visible for the Hairless MIDI:

But my 1010 doesn't seem to respond at all. I use the Control Surface library for MIDI and I'm using the HairlessMIDI_Interface in Control Surface to receive MIDI from the USB.

Seems the driver in Windows was bad. Small signs of life...

Why Hairless? Doesn't the MKR 1010's SAMD21 support the MIDIUSB library?

Not really sure at the moment what needs what. I do output from MuseScore in Win10. It outputs to loopMIDI, which it can see as a midi device. The data goes further to Hairless MIDI, which in turn sees the com port, where I have the Arduino. Some stuff goes through, but I don't get the right stuff. And debugging is hard, because it seems the Serial can only be used for one thing at a time. Either text output to console or midi input.

Try using the USBMIDI_Interface instead of HairlessMIDI_Interface. Connect to the Arduino in MuseScore directly, without loopMidi and Hairless. This will also allow you to use Serial.print.

Sometimes MuseScore sees the Arduino 1010 directly, sometimes it doesn't. In Device Manager there's a yellow sign on the Arduino 1010 under Software devices.
